In July 2014 Jisc approached me to help them design four new identities for their section brands. I was briefed to produce 4 logos that had to integrate with the main Jisc brand, be recognisable as a group and strong enough to work individually. Jisc had clear ideas about the themes they wanted for each device and I worked those into the design. Jisc is a United Kingdom non-departmental public body whose role is to support post-16 and higher education, and research, by providing leadership in the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in learning, teaching, research and administration.

I started by designing a grid that kept the structure consistent but was flexible enough to give the relevant forms.
